Any mood or form created by the combination of tune, voice and dance may be described as music. Hence folk music is the combination of folk song, folk dance and folk tune. For example, Baul songs are a combination of tune, music and dance. Folk music is a type of ancient music which springs from the heart of a community, based on their natural style of expression. This type of music is not influenced by the rules of classical music or any standard musical styles, Regular practice is not needed for folk music. It is a

spontaneous expression in easy language, local dialect and simple tune. It is the manifestation of the joys and sorrows of everyday life. In Bangladesh folk music has a great variety. These songs are composed on the culture, festivals and views of life, natural beauty, rivers and riverine life. These songs are also based on social inequality, poverty, mysticism etc. Bhatiali, Bhawaiya, Baul, Jarigan, Sari gan, Murshidi, Marphati, Gambhir, kobigan, Leto etc belong to this group. There are some prominent contributors of folk music. They

are- Lalon Shah, Shah Abdul Karim, Hasan Raza, Abbas Uddin, Abdul Alim Radha Roman and the like. Music plays an important role in our social and cultural life. It is a source of great entertainment to the rural people of Bangladesh. Folk songs must be preserved to uphold our own cultural identity in this age of globalization.

composed and performed by illiterate or semi-illiterate people. It is based on their natural style of expression. Folk music is not influenced by the rules of classical music. It is transmitted -orally and sung in groups or individually. It is n spontaneous expression in easy language with

simple tunc. Both words and tune are appealing. This music contains deep expression of human love and separation. In Bangladesh folk music has great variety depending on culture, festivals.,

views of life, riverine life etc. They are Bhatiyali, Bhawaiya, Baul and spiritual songs, jarigan, Sarigan, Gambhira, and Murshidi etc. Bangladesh has good number of musical instruments originally of her own. They are Ektara, Dotara, Dhole, Bhasi, Mandira, Khanjani, Hari,

Sharinda etc. Nowadays folk songs are sung in western melody. The young generations are losing their interest on folk music. But we should not forget that folk music carries our cultural heritage. So, we should uphold the position and dignity of folk music.

  The Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest in le world covering an area of about 10.000 square kilometre shared by India and Bangladesh. Because of its' biodiversity it has been recorded as a UNESCO's 52nd World Heritage site. The name Sundarans is taken from a tree name 'Sundari which is abundant in the Sundarbans. This forest provides habitat for different wildlife including birds, fishes, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. It is mostly famous for the Royal Bengal Tiger. The Padma bridge paragraph for hsc The Padma bridge is a multipurpose bridge across the river Padma in Bangladesh. It connects Mawa of Munshiganj with Janjira of Shariatpur.
